Yellow strip quilt beginnings

I started this for a coworker’s baby. I think this is about the width. 6 8” squares. So 48” wide. The middle row will have more blues worked in and the top row I imagine will be mostly blues with some yellows. Dimensions should be 48” x 48”. I think I’ll machine quilt it since there is a thin foundational layer the strips are sewn to it will be too thick (and time consuming) to hand quilt. I imagine I’ll hand sew the binding on commutes to and from work. Hope to have it done by June. Haven’t decided on a backing. Maybe it should piece scraps together for the back?
